the rock returning as guest host
it has been reported that the rock will make a return to WWE later this year for the summer I believe. I am excited about his return and as always he will improve the WWE product. It's strange how one person can improve the overall product and he has done that with each return he has made. He said he wouldn't wrestle but I wouldn't be surprised if he worked a PPV.

Me either. Rock is one of those guys who can grab attention and change how we see the product. He probably will work a PPV angle and of course it will get lots of attention. I want to see how this unfolds. Rock is one of those few guys who whenever he shows up its a big deal and you know whatever he does will be good and he can put guys over one way or another.

that's the one thing that I think seperates the rock from any other wrestler to have been in this business. He has more power to put over a wrestler than anyone else. There are wrestlers who by default have to put over a wrestler, and maybe it's force fed or whatever. But the rock does it so easily and it's not by just allowing the wrestler to beat him. It's the fact that you're in an angle with the rcok and it has everyones attention. By default you will become a more popular wrestler and better with the fans just by being in an angle with the rock. he just happens to bring out the best in everyone he has worked with.

Yeah! The Rock is just so good at it. I think one example I can think of is Mick Foley. He need Mankind from a deranged character to a likeable funny character during his last few months of being a full time wrestler. Another one Hurricane Helms. That small angle before WM 19 helped Helms alot. and do i even need to mention HHH and where he'd be w/o Rock (as well as HBK). Everyone talks about Austin Austin but what people forget is what Austin didnt want to do Rock did. Austin Hogan at 18 would have been great but Rock Hogan stood out to the fullest. I hear alot of people talk about The Rock sold out. He didnt sell out he made a very important and good business decision and did what was best for his family. He left in 2003 which was good long term and then he makes movies that his daughter can watch. I totally understand that. Whenever he returns i will make sure i record or download that particular Raw.
-
I don't watch wrestling anymore but I will also record raw when he returns. if you look at the history of ratings, once the rock left you start to see the decline in ratings. not to say he is the main reason but he had a lot of fans and was the reason why a lot of people watched the program. I think the product overall went down after he left but I guess you can say he left at the right time. If looking at tv ratings history you will also see that all of his returns boosted raw ratings. it will be interesting to see his impact on ratings when he returns to host raw for a few weeks. what i think would be creative and fun would be to have austin return when the rock does and have them be the co-hosts. Have the two recalling old moments and messing around with the new talent. that would be entertaining and would get other talent more over with the crowd. you really only need the rock but that would be interesting nevertheless.

That would be great then have a young guy come along and interrupt and we would get classic Rock. I think also because of fans being spoiled of the 90s era people are still stuck in that time and lost interest when the product changed (which it had to). I can understand that. Rock Austin on the same night would be very interesting.

If/when he does return that will be the biggest and best thing to happen to Raw/WWE in quite awhile at least imo. Easily the most entertaining, that will be for real must watch TV. Shame really how every character WWE has today pales in comparison to Rock.

Im excited to see if the rock will return to the wwe. If he does I will love to see him compete as an wrestler not a guess host. just imagine the rock one on one with john cena at wrestlemania 27. WOW!
